Job requirements
§ Have strong, proven leadership abilities and a vision for quality and excellence in food & beverage operations.
§ Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a similar role.
§ Have at the minimum a high school degree / GED.
§ Culinary school degree required.
§ Ability to read, write, and speak English clearly and distinctly
§ Must meet all physical requirements, including the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
§ All international applicants must have the ability to obtain a C1/D1 Visa.
§ Applicants must be able to accommodate a months on 4 / 2 m
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
§ To support Celebrity Cruises' mission of sustaining "the world's ultimate premium cruise line with a taste of luxury"
§ Directs, coaches, supports, supervises and evaluates (in conjunction with the Hotel Director) the performance of all direct reports
§ Oversees the operation of all food and beverage outlets and the galley area.
§ Oversees the overall food and beverage budget by reviewing financial transactions and monitoring the budget to ensure an efficient operation, and to ensure expenditures stay within budget limitations (including but not limited to food cost, bar revenue and labor overtime).
§ The Food & Beverage Manager is held accountable for entire cycle of the Food & Beverage Operations: ordering, loading, storing, preparing and final delivery.
§ Oversees all service and culinary presentations, activities and quality in all assigned venues. Observes preparation to ensure quality standards are met. Oversees the care and maintenance of all equipment, props, supplies, etc.
§ Oversees food and beverage inventory and ensures proper inventory controls are in place while managing carrying costs effectively.
§ This position is responsible for all of the Food & Beverage Department's financial matters.
Job requirements
§ Ability to read, write, and speak English clearly and distinctly.
§ Five to seven years progressive food and beverage managerial experience, preferably in an upscale hotel or cruise ship, restaurant, or high volume food service facility (shipboard experience preferred).
§ Ability to manage the financial aspects of a food and beverage operation, including the successful identification of expense reduction through cost efficiencies and revenue growth through promotional and up-selling activities.
§ Bachelor's degree in hospitality management, business administration or related field from an accredited college or university or the international equivalent
§ Must meet all physical requirements, including the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
§ All international applicants must have the ability to obtain a C1/D1 Visa.
§ Applicants must be able to accommodate a 4 months on / 2 months off contract schedule
