• Role: Photograph and Video Manager

• Company: A really fun 4* Cruise liner sailing in gorgeous locations

• Start Date: Early August 2010

• Contract: 6 months on and 2 months off

• Berthing: Single cabin

• Salary: Base salary from $3400US / $4000AUS / 2800Euro / £2310UK (conversions correct of 10 June 2010)

• Commission: Yes, from 1-5% on merchandise sales, video sales and photo sales…versus targets

• Job Description: On application

YOU the Candidate

You will currently or have been recently working on a cruise liner as either a manager of the video and photo concession or the Assistant Manager of the function. You will be able to oversee onboard photo/video department and staff to ensure the department generates revenue and contributes positively to the guest experience. You will have experience of leading teams of up to 8 and have evidence of this within your CV document. Your understanding of driving sales forward will be second nature and your motivation to ensure targets and budgets are met will be nothing new. You must have unquestionable shooting ability and extensive cruise-photo and formal portraiture experience; Two years of experience in 35mm colour photography and Digital photography, including all aspects of shooting, developing and processing, preferably in a mini-lab; Experience with digital cameras (professional grade), studio lighting, state of the art digital photo lab equipment operation and maintenance; Prior employment in a high volume Mini-Lab and sales environment a plus and graphic design experience a plus.

Skills Required and evidenced in your CV that you have worked with:

• Strong computer skills, proficient in Adobe PhotoShop, Illustrator, Freehand, Final Cut Pro or similar types of programs

• Konica R2, Digital Darkroom Minilab systems and Express Digital software

• Canon 5D, Nikon, D-200, D70 Digital SLR Cameras. Sony and Canon Pro video cameras

• Canon, Nikon Flash systems

• Bogen / Calumet / Hensel studio flash systems and related accessories

• IBM computer systems with HP DesignJet 130PS wide-bed printers, drafting tablets & graphics applications
